MEDICAL MICROPIGMENTATION

Non-surgical treatments to help restore, correct or disguise visible differences

What Is Medical Micropigmentation?

Medical Micropigmentation, also known as medical tattooing and/or paramedical tattooing involves carefully applying specialised pigment into the skin where colour is missing from injury or trauma, birth defect, post surgery or as an alternative to surgery.

It is estimated that nearly one in five people in the UK self-identify as having a visible difference - medical micropigmentation is a non-surgical procedure that can offer life changing results, from confidence boosting areola re-pigmentation following masectomy, through to reducing the signs of surgical scars through advanced camouflaging techniques.

Medical Micropigmentation is a “want or need” treatment comprising of a simple session through to a complete treatment plan, spaced out over time. Our approach is always to listen to our patients' needs, so that we can propose the most effective and holistic treatment plan. Medical Micropigmentation is a journey we embark on together, to offer long-lasting restoration and skin solutions.

Skin Camouflage Micropigmentation

Our skin camouflage treatments are long-term solutions for camouflaging visible differences such as vitiligo, hypopigmentation, toenails, webbed toes, belly buttons to grafted skin and more.

Using a digital device and medical grade pigments we are able to blend into surrounding skin for a softened appearance or add pigment to light patches of skin to mimic and restore your skin tone.

Scar Camouflage Micropigmentation

Scar Camouflage Micropigmentation

Scar Camouflage Micropigmentation, often referred to as Scar Camouflage Tattooing, is a cutting-edge form of medical micropigmentation.

This technique offers a long-lasting solution for camouflaging various types of scars, be it from surgery, burns, accidents, or past traumas.

Areola & Nipple Restoration

Our breast services comprise of offering Areola re-pigmentation and a 3D Nipple solution post breast reconstruction.

If you have had surgery we can replace, rebalance and position your areola, or we can darken pale areola’s and correct balance, shape and symmetry.

The nipple is often the “cherry on the top” that completes breast surgery restoration. We can create the "illusion of protrusion" if you have had surgery but do not wish nipple surgery. Our skillful practitioners can create a 3D Nipple that although is flat it appears multi dimensional.

If you have had elective surgery your areola size and shape may simply need adjusting to offer a satisfactory end result.

Facial Enhancements & Restoration

Through our facial feature enhancement and restoration services we can offer realistic, natural eyebrows to patients who have eyebrow hair loss due to Alopecia, or have lost brow hair through trauma or injuries.

Our Lip Re-Balancing & Colouration treatments can help with irregular lip vermillion due to cleft lip surgery, through to camouflaging diffused colour due to burn scars or skin conditions such as Vitiligo.

Eye enhancement treatments can help define the eyes - offering a soft, barely there, enhancement, through to a more defined look.

Scar Revision

Using specialist needles, and a technique known as medical needling, we are able to cause controlled trauma that forces the skin to repair. The skin produces fibroblast cells that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This natural healing is the skin’s very own regeneration process.

Medical needling for scar improvement is a highly effective treatment and can help to visibly reduce the appearance of lots of different types of scars, such as acne scarring, stretch marks, and surgical scars to scarring from injury, trauma, or burns.

At FTG Clinics we always recommend that before adding colour through skin camouflage (if this is a preferred choice), medical needling should be carried out first to attempt to force scars to heal in a natural way
