What is Lip Micropigmentation?

Lip re-balance and colour treatment helps to return the lost features due to trauma or for cleft lip & palate patients after surgery. A re-balance treatment will re-shape the contour of the lips and help add a more balanced shape to your lips and create a cupid’s bow. It can also reduce the appearance of scarring from previous operations.

From lip shaping to pigment choice, you will be involved in the process from start to finish. The pigment choices can either replicate your natural lip tone or you can add a pop of colour to accentuate your smile. Our pigments are medical hypoallergenic and can be custom adjusted to suit your needs. 

We will have a consultation before we start your treatment, during this we will do a full assessment of the lips. At this stage our technicians can offer the best advice and ensure you are 100% comfortable going into the treatment.

Before adding colour to your lips, a micro needling treatment may be required if scar tissue is present. This step is important to relax the tight fibrous scar tissue leaving a smoother canvas resulting in the longevity of pigment retention.

Once we have assessed, chosen the pigment and have finished the re-shaping process we move onto the treatment. We will use our medical device to gently implant our pigment into the skin, this process can take up to 2 hours to complete so ensure you have set aside enough time for this.
